Apprenticeship Program

The apprenticeship program is a 6 months training program. This program is designed for those leading children’s discipleship programs in churches or Christian organizations. Through this program, we want to equip you with the teaching skills, Leadership skills and training skills you need to be effective in the call of discipling children that God has given you.

Who this program is for?

Someone who is leading a children’s discipleship program, at a church, or in any other context. Or someone who is seeking to start a children’s ministry program in any given context.

What you should expect in this Training

In these 6 months expect to learn some teaching skills because: 

  •   We work hard on grasping the basic principles of bible handling skills to help you teach the Bible faithfully.
  • We spend time learning how to prepare faithful, bible-centered, age-appropriate Sunday school lessons.
  • Through our practical teaching sessions, you will learn practical teaching skills, and tips that will help you teach effectively your favorite age group.
  • And of course, we discuss the issue of class management, and tips to help you not to survive your teaching time but to enjoy it.

In these 6 months expect to acquire some training skills

  • We talk about Recruitment strategies
  •  Training principles for new teachers
  • We address the crucial issue of partnership with parents. We want to help you know how you can encourage parents to keep on disciplining children at home

In these 6 months expect to acquire some leadership skills

  • We talk about team management
  • How to come up with an effective working system for your ministry
  • How to motivate your teaching team
  • How to work with your church leadership and encourage them to invest more in the discipleship of children.
  • We also talk about how to organize and lead big evangelistic events for your children.

Training cost

There is no fee for hosting or attending the training, However, the host or participants will be required to cover the cost of all the logistical expenses of the training (such as Meals, transport, printing, and other things related to the practicalities of the training.)

However, if you want to host or attend this training, and you have financial means, we encourage you to consider supporting DNG work as you feel led by the spirit. Your support is much valuable. It will help us continue to do this work and to help those who need the training but cannot afford even the logistical cost.
